Arvind Footwear is a part of DEMECH Group that is engaged in various activities like material handling, heavy equipment manufacturing etc. Footwear division of the group started in the year 1984 with the commissioning of PVC Gumboots plant.
It is our endeavor to provide our clients with the best quality products that within a short period of three years, we diversified from gumboots to high end industrial safety footwear in 1987. Our annual turnover took steep rise of Rs 8 Crores. We are priviledged that big corporates like TISCO, Bharat Petroleum, Hindustan Petroleum, Reliance Industries, L&T, TELCO, BHEL, ACC, LAFARGE and Godrej started sourcing safety footwears from us. We fulfill their requirements till date.
While, all our mines safety shoes and boots are ISI marked that is certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards, we have also received DGMS approval for all our mines safety shoes and boots. Not only this, even our rubber soles are ISI marked.

Infrastructure |

We have a state-of-the-art infrastructure. We have an in-house tannery for regular supply of quality leather. This tanery is well equipped with modern machines and its production capacity is 75000 sq. ft. per month. This tanery has helped us to remain consistent in quality and delivery and it is cost effective.
The shoe making plant is equipped with world class machinery imported from UK, Germany and Italy. They are automatic plants. We also have world class DESMA Injection Moulding Machinery, BUSM Hydraulic Clicking Machines and BUSM Forepart & Seat Lasting Machines.
So far as our manufacturing unit is concerned, we have an integrated in-house testing laboratory that ensures high quality of our products. Our design and R&D facilities enable us to develop custom made safety footwear. Our per shift production capacity are 550 pairs.

Milestones |

The journey of footwear section began over two decades ago and there is no looking back. We always kept a wide vision and was too futuristic. The following events and incidences explain our achievements:
PVC Gumboots production started in 1984.
Industrial Safety Shoes Plant commissioned in 1987.
Acquired necessary technical expertise over the period of time.
Started in-house leather finishing unit in 1995.
Produced first PVC Safety Gumboot of India in 1996, which was awarded by Indian Society of Plastics.
TARZAN PVC Gumboot approved by bureau of Indian Standard and DGMS as per IS : 12254 : 1993 in 2004-05.
Received ISI mark as per IS 15298 (PART III) : 2002 in Nov. 2005.
Received DGMS Approval as per IS 15298 (PART III) : 2002 in Jan. 2006.
Received ISI mark for Rubber Soles under IS 5676:1987.
Major addition to machinery, which has substantially increased the production capacity.

Quality is the most important part of our production. We always try to provide the best quality footwear to our clients. For this, we have a Unique Quality Benefit Incentive Scheme for workers. We have an in-house laboratory and we undertake inspection of products at each and every stage of the production so as to maintain 100% quality control. We have quality check lists for each stage of production. Apart from these facilities, we have regular testing at government laboratories. We also welcome quality inspection of vendors.
Our team undergoes regular training to get all the updated information of the company and the industry. It is an wonderful aspect of ours that we have negligible manpower turnover.
